Maintenance

Do you know all the intervals at which your car’s manufacturer recommends service? We understand if you don’t know all your vehicle’s needs and how often you should have it serviced. Every time you come to Romita Automotive, we will check your service needs. Does it need transmission service? Or a tune-up? It is better to do service-based from factory recommendations.

Oil changes, transmission flush, preventative maintenance, multi-point inspection, fluid level check, spark plugs, tune-up, fuel filter, belt, wipers, check the battery, air filter, tire rotation, top engine decarbonizes, factory service recommendations, timing belt.

Warning Lights

Some places offer a free check engine light diagnostic. But don’t be misled: that free reading usually only tells a part of the story but doesn’t uncover the problem in its entirety. Free checks typically provide a code that narrows down the location of the problem but doesn’t tell you exactly what is broken or how it can be fixed. Warning lights indicates that something is malfunctioning, but a misdiagnosis can lead to costly and unnecessary part replacements. Our team has the knowledge to easily let you know what your cars warning lights are indicating, such as check engine light, abs light, TRAC off light, brake light, oil pressure light, tire light, airbag light, engine overheating light, gas cap light, oil change light, suspension light, reduce engine power lights, o/d light, transmission light, DPF light, glow plug light.

Tune Ups

A properly tuned vehicle can improve your gas mileage and performance, while improving our environment. With today’s gas prices, having your car inspected annually to determine if your vehicle could benefit from a tune-up is a great way to save money on gas and keep your car performing at its best longer.

Electrical

Electrical shorts, alternator, starter, headlights, charging system, no start, crank only, windows, tail lights, stop lights, blown fuses, battery drain, wiring issues, power locks, head lights.

Most mechanical functions nowadays depend on electrical components. Your car is controlled by a computer network of wires, sensors, and computers working together, sometimes what seems like a major failure is merely a software issue. Computers control your starters, alternators, air conditioning systems, and many other components are now computer driven. Our technicians will make sure you don’t waste money on diagnostics and parts.

Courtesy Inspections

Every time you visit us, your car will receive a complimentary courtesy inspection. It’s our way of keeping you informed about maintenance issues before they become major problems. We want you and your family to be safe while driving. Our experienced auto repair technicians will make a thorough visual check of your vehicle. We’ll keep an eye out for any existing problems or soon-to-be problems, so that you can either have them fixed on-the-spot or start budgeting for an important repair in the near future. By catching potential issues early, a car inspection will not only save you time, but money and headaches.

We visually inspect the major systems on your vehicle, including instrument clusters, warning lights and gauges, manufacturer-scheduled maintenance, drive belts, fluidBrake, fluid coolant, power steering fluid, radiator and hoses, battery, battery terminals, and battery, oil under-hood leaks, headlights and taillights, wiper blades, washer operation, air condition, transmission fluid level, axle shafts, axle boots, and u-joints, shocks and struts, exhaust system, steering gear, power steering pump, and hoses, suspension components, brakes, differrential, transfercase, mounts, windwasher fluid, wheel bearing play, tire pressure, axles, drive shaft, cvjoints, cooling system leaks, oil leaks, differential leaks.

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle’s suspension system is also considered integral to your car’s functionality. Your car generates tremendous forces, vibrations, and inertia, and for the vehicle’s frame to properly withstand them, it must be finely balanced. Your suspension system provides this balance and ensures the smooth, efficient operation of your car. We provide service on suspension to control arm, constant-velocity axle, constant-velocity joint, idler arm, kingpin, panhard rod, pitman arm, power steering assembly, rack and pinion, shock absorber, spindle, spring, air spring, coil spring, leaf and parabolic leaf spring, rubber spring, spiral spring, stabilizer, bars and link, steering arm, steering box, steering column assembly, steering rack, steering shaft, steering wheel, struts, tie rod, trailing arm, rumbling, ball joints, sway bar links, electronic suspension, bushings, airbags, road too sensitive, difficult steering, noise while driving, lean back, tie rods, pitman, power steering, gear box, idler arm, leaking power steering, vibration while turning, end play on steering wheel, screeching while turning, air suspension u-joint, idler/pitman arm, center link, wheel bearing.

Exhaust System

We check for vehicle noises such as popping, hissing or excessive loudness, all of which could indicate leaks at the exhaust manifold, muffler, tailpipe, a punctured catalytic converter, or other problems with the exhaust system.

Exhaust manifold, oxygen sensor, exhaust pipe, tailpipe and muffler, catalytic conveter.

Computer Programming

We provide computer reflashing and software updates. The primary reason to reflash a computer (which basically means updating or reinstalling its software) is that an update has been issued by the factory. It’s a very unique procedure, and there may be minor updates that the car hasn’t had. The manufacturer may have tweaked a software algorithm or some other parameters that are not crucial but may bring slight improvements, Since manufacturers are coming out with automobile updates every day, there may be a reprogram available for your vehicle.
